Receptor vs Shorty review
In this entry we are going to compare and review Maxxis Receptor vs Maxxis Shorty tyres. Both manufactured by the same brand Maxxis, these tyres have been designed to be used for different purposes. Whilst Maxxis Receptor is better for gravel and hybrid activities, Maxxis Shorty is a great choice if your needs are more aligned to mountain activities.

The Maxxis Receptor is a semi-slick gravel tire designed for riding on pavement, hard-packed dirt roads, and light gravel. With its low profile center tread, the Receptor rolls easily no matter the surface. Small side knobs provide cornering traction in loose over hard terrain. | After gathering years of data and feedback from our World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes, the Shorty is completely new for 2021. The knob layout has been altered to improve wet traction, cornering performance, and mud shedding abilities. The narrower 2.40″ casing improves frame and fork clearance for when things get really sloppy and reduces weight. | ||||||||||||||||
